Rain Gutter Installation Services
Gutters play an important role in collecting water falling on the rooftop, and to handle the rainwater thus preventing it from spoiling the roofing and outside environment. Collecting water ensures you save water that you could use later for gardening or other home applications.
Types of gutters we install
Gutters are made of aluminum, plastic or vinyl, copper, and cast iron and the type of gutter you select depends on the climate in your area. Aluminum gutters dominate the market because they resist corrosion, are lightweight and are available in different colors. They are also less costly than copper gutters, although copper gutters are more durable and need no painting again or to deal with mildews that arise on painted surfaces.
Vinyl gutters are low-budget options compared to all the other types, while the rust-prone galvanized steel gutters are strongest. Vinyl are plastic and are also lightweight and come in pre-cut sections and so are not the best for those looking for seamless rain gutters installation. Sectional systems carry the disadvantage of having to leak after a while.
Some users also select the Galvalume, which is the type made from steel coated with aluminum and zinc and which combines the benefits of being strong, durable and corrosion-resistant. These can last 9 times longer than the galvanized steel gutters. Zinc gutters, which contain copper, zinc, and titanium are more costly than aluminum gutters but will have as twice a lifespan than aluminum gutters.
Choosing your best gutter style
Styling your home is of paramount importance. Sometimes, and to so many homeowners, it is not an option. We can help install all types of styles of roof gutters. However, it is recommended to select the right style based on whether there are fascia boards or based on the material make.
From among the options we do install, the European gutter systems are made of copper and other natural weathering materials. These are a type of half-round gutters which are shaped in half circle with the open installed facing the roof. The half-round gutters are, again, not the best for home use today because they are easy to overflow when a slight leveling problem of debris occurs in the gutter.
Fascia gutters are used on homes without fascia boards installed. Their smooth face replaces the gutter. The k-style are the most common for many homeowners – they have decorative crown molding appearance and therefore also called ogee gutters.
Once the decision about styling and type of gutter material and sizes are decided upon, the color options are then considered matching your home and decoration preferences.
Sectional or seamless rain gutters installation?
Gutters are either made of sections or can be seamlessly made of a continuous piece. Most gutters installed as DIY are made and sold in sections of 10 ft (ca. 3 m) long. In this case, the installer will just need to snap-in-place the connectors to join gutter sections to each other and the downspouts. The system may also come to leak later on.
Seamless rain gutters installation is the recommended procedure because seamless gutters do not leak since they do not have any seams at all. The joining is done at inside and outside corners and this is achieved on the job site. We help homeowners to install all these types of gutters.
